From the set "Concours d'Affiches Byrrh." In 1906, the company Byrrh held a poster contest for the best advertising postcard for their "Hygienic Tonic" aperitif. Hundreds for European artists participated and the company published a series of postcards showing the 112 winners of the various prize classes. Artwork by Barlangue. Waiter uncorks a bottle of Byrrh tonic water with wine.
